Mystikana in Concert at Irondale Historic Church
On the evening of Saturday August 22nd, Bark Lake Cultural Developments will present a very special concert featuring a trio that is captivating a new audience at every public appearance. Mystikana.
Mystikana is a family folk trio of singer-songwriters from the highlands of Eastern Ontario. Juliana and Ariana, along with their mother Kristina, draw on their classical training and deep love of nature to create intimate, interwoven melodies and rich harmonies through vocals, guitar, violin, viola, and percussion. Their music is deeply rooted in the land; mystical, dreamlike, and quietly transporting, ferrying listeners into other realms. After years in the wilderness, Mystikana made their public debut at open mics in Bancroft and Haliburton, has been featured on Canoe FM, and is now bringing their unique sound to stages across the region.
For this performance, Mystikana is transforming Irondale’s Historic Church into an environment that reflects the natural world and enhances the ethereal qualities of their music.
Come and experience the beauty of Mystikana’s sound. Let their harmonies wash over you while inside this simple pioneer building. You will be swept into another world, one both ancient and new...
