Service, Courage & Sacrifice
A Digital Exhibit
We wish to introduce Irondale’s service men and women to residents of Haliburton County and beyond. For the size of the village, Irondale has a significant number of individuals that has served Canada in various military aspects. We wish to say Thanks by remembering the sacrifices – providing a strong voice.
We felt it was necessary to honour and remember the individuals that served our country in some military aspect. Our project “Service, Courage & Sacrifice” started honouring our courageous members with flags and displays, each November, starting in 2022.
Each individual featured enlisted for service, had the courage to follow through and some paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country’s freedom. These men and women has a family tie to the Irondale area of Haliburton County, Ontario. The few that paid the ultimate sacrifice are marked with a poppy.
While the magnitude of this event can only be felt when viewing the 50+ flags en masse in person … we felt it was imperative to share these folks with the greater public.
We encourage you to spend some time with these individuals, silently thanking them for their Service, Courage & Sacrifice.
